Writer's Block: Music and Moods

[Error: unknown template qotd]For LJ? Not much. There will be occasional posts (like this one) where I control it but otherwise mostly random.

For work? I do some of my best analysis to instrumentals, SUR, and J-pop. I find not understanding the lyrics (or not having any to begin with) can be soothing and helps me both to concentrate and be creative.

Hurm ... you should have a hunt around for Qntal, too. You'll have to get a real CD, but there are a couple of clips up on the web, so you can have a listen. German mediaeval music. Very cool.

We have Qntal-V "Silver Swan" and Qntal-III "Tristan and Isolde" both of which a really good listens.

Sometime between posting this one yesterday and this morning LJ got confused and assigned it to the wrong writer's block question.

I think I've fixed it but it is still a bit odd.
