Why don't I own any of these?

On this cold, wet, and otherwise miserable day treadly has provided me with this amusing and long list of cycling boardgames.

So, _bigjobbies_,  how many of these do you have?

LJ Surfing

As I just mentioned it is cold, wet, and miserable out there. Must be time to go LJ Surfing:

1. stephbg is having problems with preservatives.
2. possbert had a grand old time with rdmasters and leecetheartist.
3. catsparx is one the many enjoying Dr Horrible's Sing-a-long blog (Me? I glanced at it and lost interest fairly quickly. Meh).
4. slithytove is evidently at Readercon, and posting some interesting reports. I'm guessing it is in the US given the author guests being mentioned.
5. wintersweet just saw Eddie Izzard and caught up with friends.

Haven't really heard of the last two before. :)

Loss of History

Whilst browsing the "friends of friends" page that I discovered this fascinating post from girliejones (who I'm not sure I know in person, I may do) about the loss of a letter writing culture. The question at the end being:

What's with us? Do we have no sense for the preservation of history?
